  • Outsourcing for Fun

There's been threads about what we would do if money weren't a concern. What would you outsource around your home if money were no object.

    I would hire...
-an professional organizer to do all our closets and cupboards
-a qualified to go through my wardrobe to tell me what works for me and what to pitch
    -I would love a chef
-a housecleaner to do my entire house instead of my first floor and my bathrooms
-a mother's helper to come once in a while so I could get some errands or stuff done at home, especially since summer is upon us.
-a painter to repaint our entire interior of our house
-a decorator to help me finally furnish a couple rooms

    Anyone else want to play?

      If money were no object:

      1) a landscaper/yard guy
      2) full day (every day) of cleaning lady service- now I get three hours once a week.
      3) Dog poop scooper, dog walker, dog groomer

        A gardener
The closet person (this might be more for dh than me, his side is neat, mine is NOT and it drives him nuts).
A weekly cleaning person who also does laundry (alright, I'd need her at least 2 days a week).

We've embraced outsourcing more this year than ever before. I finally have a cleaning lady (once every 3 weeks), a lawn service, and we pay a neighbor kid to scoop dog poop.

Cleaning lady who does bed sheets, too (Don't care about the rest of the laundry, the king-sized bed is a PITA!)
          A dog-walker for a mid-day outing

For where we're at right now - that's about it!

-Cleaners so I never have to scrub grout again.

                A personal shopper
                A cleaning lady weekly
                A dog trainer that works

                I'm sure there are more
Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

I would also LOVE a personal organizer.
                  Decorator
                  Painter
                  Gardener
                  Dog walker
Weekly cleaning lady who does things like dishes and laundry (okay, I guess I can admit - I'd love a house with maid's quarters and a live-in)
Mother's helper to take one kid at a time so I can have some one on one time with each of my kids

                  What we have:
Dog poop picker upper (the best $10 I spend each week)
Cleaning lady - once every three weeks
                  -Deb
Wife to EP, just trying to keep up with my FOUR busy kids!

I simply would like to have all laundry picked up, washed, neatly folded and returned home. I wouldn't ask for anything else if i could outsource that.

Right now, I’d kill for a:

                        -Housekeeper
                        -Interior Designer
                        -Personal shopper, and
                        -Personal trainer

                        The rest we can handle.

                          -Personal Trainer
                          -Chef
                          -Dog Trainer and Groomer
-Some one to wash and put clean sheets on the beds everyday. I love the way new crisp sheets feel, but I am way to lazy to do that.
-Someone to go to Wal-Mart. I despise going to that store, but make the trip once a week
                          Brandi
Wife to PGY3 Rads also proud mother of three spoiled dogs!! Some days it is hectic, but I wouldn't trade this for anything.

                            I'd love
                            - live-in housekeeper, who would also run errands
                            - weekly masseuse
                            - personal yoga instructor
                            - beauty stylists who makes house calls (mani/pedi/hair/facial/wax)
                            - weekly pool service

I would gladly offer my services as cook/personal shopper/stylist/closet organizer in exchange for any of the above.

We had this when we were first married and lived in NYC. It irritated me to no end because it was DH's only household chore...and he hired a service. Now, I'd love to have that option.

Man....I'm not good at outsourcing anything. I always feel bad about it. I end up making the hired help lunch and drinks and just wishing I'd done it myself.
