I seriously have too much time on my hands because I cannot make any decisions when it comes to the nursery.
Because you really only use the sheets, and the crib skirt out of the crib bedding sets we've opted NOT to do a theme. The only SET things are as follows: Our crib and dresser are a natural wood color, we have a maroon lazy boy, and then there is an entire wall of white built in bookshelves.
My initial thought was to pick out a few cute sheets, and paint the walls either a yellow or green and use yellow and green accessories. Thinking more pastels. I'd also like to do some chocolate colored things and then perhaps add a LITTLE pink or blue when baby comes.
Right now I am registered for a chocolate crib skirt, and chocolate changing pad. I went out yesterday and bought a crap ton of baskets to see which ones I like best to make good use of the four bookshelves that take up the long wall.
(See pic below for various baskets)
I haven't decided which baskets I will keep (and buy more of).
I just realized that many of the sheets I registered for are polka dots also!
http://www.amazon.com/Flannel-Fitted...=392XYBND0N0XX, these, and these.
Now I am afraid that there is not going to be any cohesiveness in the room. Should I:
I thought the baskets would add color to the bookshelves, but now I am just so confused, and I am not so good at this decorating thing.
Any ideas, suggestions? I know I am over thinking this, but I want it to look cute and not too busy/conflicting/thrown together!

Now I am afraid that there is not going to be any cohesiveness in the room. Should I:
- Do solid colored sheets and the polka dot baskets and perhaps polka dot curtains
- Keep the polka dot sheets and use the plainer chocolate baskets?
- Keep the polka dot sheets and just use the more solid colored baskets?
- Break down and just register for a bedding set?
