Yeah, I would think that the hard water minerals would contribute to dulling. Also the acid in vinegar erodes your finish a bit (but not terribly). And without a surfactant, you're just pushing any greasy residue around. I'd dry the floor with a clean cloth after the vinegar cleaning and see if that helps. Well, actually...I'd use Bona. I love that stuff so much. It's relatively eco-friendly, Greenguard certified (which seems to mean non toxic and low VOC).

I will try the liquid dawn.

I have Bona! That is what I have used. Honestly never really looked into it - just assumed it was not so eco friendly because that was what the floor people suggested I use. Duh, just noticed the Greenguard seal. I still would like to use the vinegar mix because it is far cheaper and can use it on all kinds of surfaces...just may not work on my floor.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Sounds good, and I'm glad you found a solution to the salad dressing smell! I'm halfway through my housecleaning for today, maybe I'll experiment with vinegar a bit myself. I don't think my Corian would like it though...my butcher block would, and I could see what it did for my refrigerator door.

I have to admit that the vinegar does work well on the stainless steel.

OK, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! I did about 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water with about 5 drops of sweet orange essential oil. The stainless is perfect, but even more impressive, the matte black fridge that was all streaky from whatever I last cleaned it with, now looks smudge free. Whoo! I'm totally keeping this in my arsenal!

Interesting! Did you use it as a spray?

Yep, about a 32 ounce spray bottle. Spray on, wipe off with a microfiber cloth...
