Sorry, that's homeowner hell. What is it about houses changing hands that makes stuff like this happen. Hugs!

Trenchless sewer repair: it all makes sense! It would appear there is a technology that allows you to either pipeline or pipe burst to replace old lines without slab breaks/huge trenches.

This may be good for us.

Yes. We are considering changing our water line that goes from the city to our house. Basically they pull the old pipe out with the new attached and slide it into place. I didn't know they could do it with sewer but I don't see why not.

          Plumbing Problems

So, we are triaging the situation and going with what we know must be fixed first.
One of our line pipes is broken (in the yard).

The company we chose is coming tomorrow to replace our line from clean out to clean out, digging a small trench in our yard.
I am praying that it ends here. The good news is, our company is awesome and the president keeps telling me that they will NOT tear up my house if we do in fact need to overhaul the main line under the slab.

Roto rooter guys can suck it - telling a pregnant woman that her whole house needs to be replumbed (even in the walls) is pretty damn evil. $$$
