    This.
More often than not, the dogs are lying in the floor as well at our house.

Lol. Ah yes. The dog factor. They do seem to be in the wrong spot all the time lol.

Cheri your kitchen is sooooo cool. I looked through your blog posts on it. Love!!!

Maybe we could do the adventium built in above which is a combo convection/microwave right? Vs a microwave shelf... That would give another option at eye level.

Thanks I kind of love it Yes, the Advantium is a micro/convection/speed cook combo thing, just make sure they put a 220 in for it, not a 120 it takes more power then a regular microwave.

I love Cheri's kitchen too, the pictures don't do it justice. It's absolutely stunning. Sorry for the hijack!

I like to bake and to finish what I am cooking off in the ovens. Therefore, I loooove my double ovens. I also like have my stovetop close by my ovens so that I can make a quick/easy transfer. We do not use our microwave much so that is in a separate area. It really comes down to how/what YOU cook.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

One thing about the Advantium--the door pulls down, so make sure you don't put it too high or it's kinda hard to get stuff out of, especially for the short folks. Sounds like that wouldn't be a problem in your setup though. Yes, it's yet another appliance my parents have. (they liked the Advantium so much in their old house that they put one in their new one) I drool over their new kitchen. If you really want to go crazy, look at Miele steam ovens. They're kind of incredible.

That's the best pic I can find :/ The top hole is where they put the Advantium above a regular single over. It is WAY too high. It's a little difficult for me to get stuff out at 5'7" and really hard for my mom at 5'4"

ST brings up a good point. If mine were any higher I would also have issues. I can get things in and out without issue but have to get a step stool to clean the inside back wall, I'm 5'2".

My mother burned herself badly when something sloshed as she was retrieving it from an overhead microwave (mounted above the stove). I agree on height and why I probably wouldn't do double ovens.

It's way too tall for me. And for any of your younger kids.
