I have a light colored couch that I keep covered with a thin soft blanket (it's been the best couch cover ever) and my couch looks brand new. With two young boys that is no easy feat

Thanks guys! I just ordered leather couches from pottery barn, rather than the expensive ones I wanted. They were a great deal with coupons and some old gift cards I had, so I'm not going to be devastated if they don't last that long. I'll probably have to wait 8 weeks though.... We literally only have our kitchen table on the first floor right now. It's pretty funny.

Reviving this thread. We have a 70's couch that I like but dh wants a new couch after he discovered that older couches have tons of toxic chemicals in them for flame retardant that doesn't actually work. We like mid century modern and retro furniture but I'd love leather. I'm open to looking at anything. If you have leather where did you get it?
