I bought a sewing machine about 7 years ago and still haven't used it. My neighbor has borrowed it a few times!

That would have been my first step. I failed sewing in college. Even made my teacher cry. In high school, I tried to make a dress and sent my mom's sewing machine to the shop. Yes, I'm that bad. When mom got her serger (yes, she's that good), I wanted to play on it to see what all it could do. She gave me a look that made me question my status as the favorite child.
