  • Forever Fit Program

I've just signed up for a 12 week program at Jazzercise. They have a new program designed for people with ... more substiantial weight to lose. There will be:

Coaching & Support by a Fitness Instructor
Complete Fitness and Body Fat Assessment
    Complete Nutrition Seminar Program
And full access to classes - you're expected to attend a minimum of 3 / week.

It's a new program and they're looking for testimonials at the end, so I get the Forever Fit component for free (supposed to be $349), plus a reduced sign up rate ($50 rather than $100) and just have to pay the $38/month.

I went today (ow!). The best part is that while I was sitting waiting for the earlier class to end (I had to go early to sign up), my friend showed up. I didn't know she worked out there. So now I'll have a friend there with me ... and expecting to see me.

                          Re: Forever Fit Program

Went again today. I found out that the instructor I've been seeing is the owner of the center. She's good - keeps me on my toes. She's also really good w/correcting people who are doing it wrong w/o making us feel like morons. She makes the class more of an aerobic / circuit training combo, which I enjoy.

                          Ow.

She's almost got me talked into going tomorrow AM after I drop off Jacob at school. Quinn can go in the childcare room. I don't want to burn myself out, but I want to be sure I'm getting a good bang for my effort.

:P Thanks Cheri! You posted while I was typing this (love the new software Kris!). I did - and I'm particularly proud b/c my friend couldn't go today. At the end of class I bumped into another woman I just met at the wine tasting party this weekend! I love that I've been here long enough that I now run into friends.

I like the "ow" part. It really gives the flavor of this whole program. Sore? :> :>

                              Re: Forever Fit Program

I did go today! Even though it wasn't part of my initial plan, I decided to go. And to an 8:30 class (so unlike me, you have no idea). Quinn had to go in the kid room, which sadly is geared towards the younger set - but he was a good sport about it.

This was a different teacher (one I thought I'd like better). She didn't really do any circut though, and I missed that. My legs are going to hurt like mad, though. I think I'm happier with the other teacher -- but the most I'll be hitting this class is 1, maybe 2 times / week.

Now I just need to get a handle on the late-night snacking. I just seem to lose all self-control!
