  • Low carbin' it

I did South Beach a couple of years ago and loved it. Phase one was a little difficult, but phase 2 & 3 are easy. Phase 3 is really just eating a healthy diet. I'll plan on doing it again (after 12/31). We are going to a wonderful restaurant on on New Years Eve and I plan to eat anything I want!!!!!!

This is the problem I have with the SBD. I think you should be able to go to a wonderful restaurant and eat what you want. Granted, moderation is key. I have a couple of friends who have done very well on the SBD and I am tempted to try it BUT it seems like you give up A LOT of my favorite foods. I generally eat healthy (as long as I am not traveling)...but giving up carrots!!? Hey, that's one of my favorite health snacks!! Maybe I just can't get past the phase 1 hump. Granted, I have not read the book so my friends may just be messing with me.

I'd love to hear your low carb journey because it is definitely an area that I need to cut back on.

You could just skip phase one, it is only for two weeks I think. I didn't give up the wine!!!! Just eating pahse three I'm sure I would lose weight because it is really healthy. Has anyone tried the Mediterranean diet?
