Re: It's that time of year...

I joined the Y, the beginning of Aug, but didn't start attending classes until the end of Oct.; I needed to wait for my fractured foot to heal. I usually do a cardio circuit class, occasionally I venture out to the equipment area & get on a machine. So far I have dropped 26 lbs. (I still have much more to go)... it's a start!

So far, I'm not off to the best start. I was going to work out after getting my teeth cleaned this am. I needed a filling, they had an open spot so I took it because I have a sitter. The numb mouth made me skip lunch. Does that count?

So I made it this morning, did my weights and 30 mins on the eliptical. DH & I are also going on Saturday. Its SO much nicer now that I don't have to have a reservation for Adele.

I made it to yoga today! It was a really good class and I'm excited to use the rest of my gift certificate.

I went yesterday and today. I'm going to try to force myself there tomorrow and then take the weekend off. I remember why I don't push myself to exhaustion, though--have to save something to make it through the rest of my day! I think in my heart I'm a nighttime worker outer, but that's not practical right now. Maybe I should aim to do cardio at the gym in the morning, and situps and such at home after the baby goes to bed. Hmm.

OK I hope I am back in the swing of things! Went to class today, and plan on attending Wed. & Thur. I have hit a major snag, one that I am sure a few can relate to.
DS2 no longer handles being in the childcare room. He totally melts down and becomes so inconsolable they have had to pull me from sessions & classes. My ILs & SIL that are visiting (S T I L L ), are a let down in the '"please carefully watch & care for your grandchild/nephew" dept My house keeper is helping out. I am using her for a few hours on Tue, Wed & Thur so I can rest assured he's being taken care of while I am away @ the class.

I can totally relate. I have a gym membership that I am canceling because TenE is not and might never be cool with the childcare. I'm sorry. I'm glad the housekeeper can help. Wowza, if I had to endure ILs for that long, some competent childcare would sure be a nice exchange!
