The strength training portion kills me even in level 1, but the cardio is fine and the abs are too easy. I am going to try level 2 tonight. With a Mike's Hard Lemonade for my recovery drink.

Kris, I second that. Holy crap balls, I felt like my heart literally stopped the first time I did it.

So I tried level 2 of the 30 Day Shred last night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Again the strength moves are killer, but the cardio and the abs were okay. I obviously need to improve my upper body strength (hello bat wings), but I think there needs to be more moves in the video that target the hamstrings and glutes.

I'll give it a shot but I don't know if JM and I are destined to be friends. She scares me a little...I don't have any friends who I'm terrified will b*tch slap me and feed me a protein shake but maybe she can be the first.

                ST, good luck!

Insanity seems interesting, and i think i could talk DH into joining me, but I don't think it's in our budget right now. Maybe after I start the new job...

My trainer at the gym hated JM and all of her videos because she requires people to move in ways that people shouldn't move. She felt that her videos were dangerous.

I'm not a fan of the side lunges, but I have both her videos. Also not a fan of her diet pills.

I did the fit test last night. Oy. I didn't realize just how bad my abs are shot post baby. I think I overcompensated with my back and wow this hurts. I'm doing something besides insanity today. Past experience has taught me my body can't really handle it every day. I get injured every time

I wanted to check in on everyone and see if anyone is still at it?

I met with a personal trainer yesterday to get a routine going. Can't afford her but every couple months. I'm hurting all over today!! I thought about all of you when my leg cramped up just to get out of bed! Who the heck knew you could even have a sore muscle in your freaking armpits!?!?

The scale did go down this morning and that's all that matters, right? But seriously, how's everyone doing?

Yes, but I'm alternating it with day's of running so in still on week two. Taking it slow is better for me.

Some luck in the scale dept but not much. And I've been damn good

I did the first fit test and improved at least 25% in each area!
