  • What did I just get myself into?!

So... I got a wild hair and signed up for this http://www.godirtygirl.com/ and now I'm wondering what the heck I was thinking!? I hate running, I generally believe that running is something that you do while being chased by things with teeth. I even have a team now of about 7 of us...and I am thinking that although I am the instigator, I am also the weakest link. YIKES! Any tips would be welcome.

O.M.G.! What the heck!?!?!!? How did you get seven other people to do this with you!? I can hardly get my gym buddy to show up for a 30 min treadmill walk in a nice air conditioned gym!! LOL!

Looks like a blast! I absolutely love working out with girlfriends! The time passes so quickly when you are bonding with the girls.
In my dreams I run with the Kenyans.

Sounds fun! And since it is mud run style, you don't have to run the whole way You can do it!

              + fire run + hay + tires + walls +... yea...

It is very similar to the warrior dash and the tough mudder, although this one is only for women. I'm freaked, but still think it will be fun... if I survive.

I think it looks really cool!! I *almost* signed up for a Warrior Dash, but thought better of it. I'm still too out of shape.

You can do it!!! Keep us posted with how your training is going.

I finished it today. It was extremely doable and a LOT of fun. As an all-women course, there was no competition, just a feel of camaraderie, it was amazing. I was proud of myself, I completed every obstacle and ran (well jogged) through the rest. I even kept my teammates going strong. I "took up the rear" most of the time, but most of my mates were sprint-walk-sprint-walk girls (I do not sprint), but the mud and obstacles were so.much.fun. They are apparently planning 20 more locations next year, so keep checking your area if you're interested.

*yay* I'm going to go pass out now.

Impressive! I wouldn't do it without going to the gym for a while. I don't even run on the treadmill, I avoid running if I can.

Thanks!! I am NOT a runner, but I've been "jogging" on our treadmill. It was a really fun race!
