  • Your Favorite Cardio

I'm trying to incorporate more cardio (ick) and was wondering what everyone's preferred method of getting sweaty is. The elliptical is not my friend, so that's out.

Cassy, I'm not a big fan of touching people but I have to say, sex is at the top of my list!

I like to run. I'm slow but it's at the top of my list for exercise.

Before kids I used to bike. So fun to get out there, feel the wind in your face, explore your region, and jam some fartleks.

        Man, I love that word.

With a stroller-able kid I picked up running. Once you get into a good habit and build the endurance to run, it can be pretty exhilarating too, especially if you have some good tunes on the iPod.

I have a hurt left foot and can not walk or run until it's better. I spend a lot of time on the elliptical as bulk of my cardio. My favorite is the stationary rowing machine! The one at my gym works on water weight. It sounds like I'm rowing the English Channel when I'm on that thing! love it.

I like group fitness classes. Turbo kick and Strike are two that my gym offers. I also enjoy running.

My top pick is sex, too. My second pick is probably trying to walk/exercise our 150 lb. dog. Because of my Morton's neuroma in both feet, high impact stuff is all sorts of out.

Oh! I'll look into group dance classes! Although I think I prefer sex by a long shot...free, feels good, and satisfied at the end.

Spinning and running. Swimming when I feel like it but the logistics are a pita.

Stuff like insanity can be boring and hard as hell but i find it to be most efrective

I miss swimming w/a masters group. Really hard to coordinate w/a kiddo though when drop-in daycares are out of the question. For now, running/walking on a treadmill at home is all I can work in.

Spinning with a good hardcore instructor is a killer! I love my spinning. Even have spinning shoes.

I love group power and body pump. Free weight routines to music. Although you have to switch weights and tracks so I guess its not technically cardio.

I've never tried spinning. Kind of scared because I haven't been on a bike in I don't even know how long. Are spin classes really intense?
