New January schedule dropped my Wednesday morning Body Pump class. Boo! My only option is Cycling which I tried and failed at miserably on Tuesday. I guess I better learn to like it huh? My Saturdays can remain the same with Body Attack and Body Pump. Today's classes kicked my @ss. My head is pounding! I can't get enough water. Oh well. I'm down to 137 already. . My goals may change. I think I'm smaller in my head then when I actually look in a mirror. He he.

Oh crap, I just signed up for Boot camp, starts Monday morning 9:30-10:30. I signed up for three days a week for four weeks. I've dropped approx. 20 pounds since September just by cutting out the junk food. The first three weeks I did Dukan Diet and that was a great jump start for me.

OMFG. So many lunges and squats. My right knee gave out on me and I caught myself bf I fell over completely. My upper thighs and knees are so so so very tired. Going down steps...I have to be careful.
I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed in how NOT fit I am....
It's always shocking to me to have something like power squats/power lunges work me over.
Our instructors are big fans, and even 18 months into this regimen, it still kills me.

Padded cycling shorts. Too painful without them.

This cycling class has you standing up and pedaling more than sitting. But it's really hard for me. Maybe with practice I'll be able to do it. I couldn't get my breathing right in the beginning and it felt like my heart was going to explode out of my chest.

Just because you are sore doesn't mean you aren't in shape.... doing something different should hurt! A marathon runner isn't out of shape just because she play tennis and is sore the next day

I weighed in on Friday at weight watchers, I need to lose AT LEAST 6 pounds, maybe 12 or 15?. The problem is I have lost A LOT of muscle... so losing 12 pounds may not be enough if I don't regain the muscle as well! It's not a ton of weight but its two pant sizes for me!

What if we do a weekly thread where everyone checks in? (This would be week one?)

@Michele, you can always turn the resistance down. I did that a lot, especially when I was pregnant. You'll still get a good workout. Sometimes the spinning instructors can be a little overzealous

Michelle, keep it up you'll get used to it! I'm big into cycling and used a pad until my butt got used to it. That new butt pain is no joke!

I haven't had the energy to work out in two months. I used to workout six days a week. I'm going to try really hard to get to cycling tomorrow.

So far I'm down 1.8 lbs. dd is sick, I didn't go to gym. I'm doing a challenge online. I did about 25 mins and was laying on the floor after I was done! Back to the gym tomorrow night!

I've been working out 4 times a week for over a year now with no effect on my weight. Boo. I read an article on Matthew mcconehey's dramatic weight loss for his new film - and he said exercise had little effect without diet changes. I'm focusing in that this year. Much harder for me!! I have lost some so far. Five days on - and I'm down almost 6 lbs. Obviously I really was bloated from all the water retention over the holidays!

Scared to go to the "hard" power yoga class today. The toughest teacher is teaching. He's a fan of the minute plank and 200 ab moves thrown in at the end of the 75 minutes of hot yoga. Not sure I can stand it.

Had first day of boot camp yesterday. After the class my legs were so wobbly I didn't think I would be able to make it down the stairs!!!! It was hard but felt good. This morning I'm really sore. It is every other day for four weeks. I. Can. Do. This.

GOOD LUCK! I miss yoga. I really want to go back into it this year. Did you do any yoga last year? I did minute planks yesterday and I thought my back was cracking in half!

Totally agree with Mr. Hotty. Its all about eating. I had a (of all things) a orthopedic doctor tell me one time weight loss is 98% about pushing yourself away from the table and 2% about working out. Hang in there. Cutting back on foods is such a challenge.
