    • Note to self: don't moisturize arms and legs before heated yoga class (at least it wasn't Bikram!)

      • That's amazing Mrs Md!

MP - don't try yoga on an area rug without a mat. I'll be buying a mat today for tomorrow's workout.

        • That is awesome!!!!!

I had been pretty lazy the last two weeks, but I've just started at a new gym (I don't know how to describe it- kind of like a cross-fit mind/body hybrid). I can hardly move today.

          • I've slacked off this week and it's already getting to me. Restless but unmotivated, staying up late because I'm not tired but then not sleeping well once I go to bed. Hopefully will sleep OK tonight and then work out in the morning.

            How's everyone else doing?

            • So this is my attempt to climb back on the wagon...I haven't been tracking food or exercise (plus, I have totally dropped my normal workout routine) in the last couple months.

DH has weird hours, then night float, then out of town for a month. This is totally going to continue messing with my routine!

              • I'm jumping on the wagon too! We bought a treadmill, which is great but I'm so lacking in motivation. Trying to keep it up.
DH is on call all week which is going to mess everything up for me too!

                • DH just bought a rowing machine. I had never used one but they are pretty cool. Works muscles I didn't know existed. Right now I can only do like 20 minutes but since it works your whole body that feels productive.

                  • I'm back on the exercise wagon, but not the food tracking. One step at a time. I guess I'm on the wagon dragging a foot in the dirt behind us. . Sorry!

I worked out five times last week, 90 minutes power yoga. I'm trying for that again. Over the summer I had cut back to twice a week. It's sapping my energy, though! I work out and then I just need to lie around and recover before I can actually do any work! Hope that doesn't continue. I need it to energize me, not wipe me out.

                    • I'm back on, too. On August 1, I downloaded myfitnesspal because a friend on fb asked who was on it because he needed the accountability. I also discovered that day that dailyburn updated their chromecast functionality, which makes it really easy for me to work out in the basement where the tv has a chromecast. Myfitnesspal caused me to realize I'd been eating WAY more than I should have been, given how sedentary I am. Sticking within its recommended intake (which hasn't left me hungry; I'm pretty sure I was just comfort eating), and doing easy workouts a few times a week has helped me lose 2-3 pounds per week, which puts me on track to be down to my goal weight by Christmas, assuming I keep it up. That's pretty motivating, and I'm pretty psyched about that.
