Barre or the bar method

Oh my sweet baby cheesus. I was able to do about 30% of the exercises. At the lowest modification setting. The instructor was nice, encouraging, and accommodating. I was clearly out of my league, but many of the class said to me that they were happy I came and hope I come back. One said that it was her 5th class and she'd already had a ton of improvement.
Today, it hurts to pee. Sitting on the toilet hurts. My ass and my legs are beyond fucking pissed at me. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.
I walked around Animal Kingdom today with my dad. Tomorrow, I'll walk some more, but fuck me, owwww.
I think I might go back. Maybe. I'm undecided. It was pretty embarrassing to be that out of shape and also my work out clothes kept riding up and showing my belly.

I have been doing it for years and I still have the same pain. no one cares about your shirt riding up or anything. They are just wanting to get through class without puking. I promise it is that hard for everyone!!!
I sometimes feel like I have the flu after a really hard class. People have no idea until they do it.
You could also try bar method online. They have 25 min classes if you can't get to a studio. I do those on lunch!

Definitely go back!!! The first one is the worst. The second it pretty hard too, but it will get easier.
I did it for a few years, but stopped a few months ago when I hurt my hips. The results are awesome compared to things like yoga (the way you look, not he way you feel). You'll always be sore though. It will never be as bad as long as you keep going, but no matter how good you get, you'll still feel it the next day.

Vanquisher what about working up to a Barre class? I started with Tai Chi (for example) and have been able to watch myself grow without being miserable. Miserable = no in my book. It's a setup for failure. Maybe you could try an adult ballet class at a local studio or a Rumba class first?

Rumba? Like the dance? I wish there was a rumba class. I should teach one! . Or Zumba? That kicks my ass too. Unfortunately, there's not THAT much close to me. I chose this place cause it was so close.
I walked 4 miles this morning.

Those prices are really really good. I used to pay $150/mo unlimited in AZ. Mine now is $250/mo or $25/class which is part of the reason I stopped going. Only made any sense to go if I did at three months unlimited (I think that was $195) and went almost every day. I found I really only wanted to do it 2 or 3x a week, and it just didn't makes sense $ wise.
You should definitely stick with it for a month or two. If you see results and feel stronger you can reevaluate then, but those prices are hard to pass up!
