I was going to say - that after the last 9mo trying to recover from abdominal surgery - I'm not sure I would ever think a tummy tuck would be worth it..... But maybe it would be.

I really wanted a scar revision, but now I'm terrified of anyone coming near my stomach with a knife again. It's probably totally different if they aren't cutting muscle, but God, this has sucked big time.

I don't know remember how old your kids are, but if possible, I would wait until they are old enough to understand that you can't pick them up for quite awhile. I think picking up my heavy kid has been one of the hardest parts of recovering.

There's definitely a tummy tuck in my future. I do want to wait until my youngest is at least 5 and no longer needs to be picked up on daily basis.

I also ended up with a dreaded flap after the c-section (vaginal birth didn't result in any ab issues). I also have some major internal scar tissue and 3.5 yrs later still have pain along the incision. DH already talked to one of plastic surgeons that he highly thinks of. Obviously, the guy said I need to come for a consultation before he can have an opinion on the topic.

rainbabies she looks good, but I don't know her. I ended up going to Sue Gannon because she has worked with DH for years on combined mastectomy/reconstruction cases and he thought very highly of her. She did an amazing job.

Thank you, I think so too.
I just don't like feeling that I work really hard and my stomach looks like a loaf of dough that needs to be kneaded. 😂
Who knows, it might always look that way. 😇

My daughter loves my "squishy belly". Me? Not so much. I can't afford a mommy-makeover (downtime nor $$).....otherwise I'd probably have one.

Honestly, I'm surprised. I've seen you in person (and this was before you were a complete fitness maven) and recent pics and you look fantastic!!!

You just can't see the pooch in clothes! I have a classic "mothers apron" and despite this being a public forum, I'll admit that I can roll my boobs and tuck my nipples under my breasts.

I love my body and it's strength/stamina....but I'm not always happy with how it looks.

Society has this interesting, insidious message that purports to be body-positive: "Sure, that celebrity actress/model lost the baby weight in record time. That's because she has personal chefs, personal trainers, and nannies to watch the baby while she works out -- and the motivation to work really hard, because her livelihood is on the line. For regular people, it takes longer. It's okay for regular people to have baby weight at 3 months postpartum." But the flip side to that message is that if *you* don't have a "bikini-ready" midsection a few months after having a baby, it's simply a failure of hard work and dedication. Because it's just calories in/calories out to lose the baby weight, right? Well…no. Not only is it seldom that "easy", there's a lot that happens to you after you've been lived in. And it can't all be encompassed by that (odiable, IMO) term "baby weight."

So, again, of course it is totally any woman's choice to have a surgical alteration that makes her feel beautiful in her body! I totally support all y'all. But I just have to say of COURSE you can work your ass off and be fit and strong and leaner than you've ever been, and still have a squish. That's pretty much how a majority of postpartum bodies work. It doesn't negate your hard work at all. http://theshapeofamother.com/category/belly/

Is that a same day procedure? Cold laser? Were you under general anesthesia?

To each his own, if you decide to push through with lipo then read patients review as much as you can, go to a doctor the can do multiple type of liposuction and of course choose the best doctor to do this for you.

The synonym for liposuction is harm. Don't even think about it. You need only special physical exercises for "mommy flap" and the correct diet..and of course, the willpower and the patience.

I scheduled my surgery Ladybug
We were pleasantly surprised with a professional courtesy. I decided to do my boobs, too. NO implant tho. Just a lift with the fat transfer. I was pretty disappointed to see I gained 6 lbs since my back surgery. But, whatevs. Now there's more fat for her to suck out of my ass to put in my boobs. Lol!! Patricia no amount of diet or exercise would get rid of my mommy/
c section belly. But good for you if it worked!
I'm excited to do this! But will miss riding my horse for a few months. Lol. Priorities 😬
