  • DCJenn, again

    OK-

So, due to some interesting happenings, I'm not teaching at the moment. Which means that I need to do something else to get back in shape.

What I've devised is a run/walk schedule 4 days a week, and weights 3 days a week. (today is supposed to be a weight day but hey, I'm crampy and pissy and don't feel like it)

    Yesterday:
75 minutes walk/run (to be honest, it was 5 minutes of 'run' and the rest walk. but ya gotta start somewhere and I haven't run in 2 years)

    Jenn

PS- I did take a 45 minute walk today.

    Yesterday-

Five minute run (and the whole five minutes sucked)
    25 minute walk

    Today-

    45 minutes weights
40 minutes of the coldest, windiest walk of my life. (Lesson learned- when it's 42 degrees with 30 mph winds, lightweight running tights are NOT enough. My cellulite laden arse froze. If it was a treatment for fat-assyness, it'd be one thing...)

Finally got back outside, after illness and painting the house got in the way. Yesterday we walked for 5 miles and of those five miles we (nikolai and I) ran for five minutes.

      Today is weights day.

Signed up for the Self Challenge at http://www.self.com because I need to commit to something- can't do a marathon or a tri at the moment so I thought this would be the next easiest thing. Today, so far, I've walked for 60 minutes with Petey and Nikolai. We didn't do our whole 5 mile loop because I had to go to the bathroom and public restrooms with the dog and the jogging stroller are painful for everyone.

but, we're going to San Antonio in 4 weeks and I'd like to be 10 pounds lighter- it may be a lofty goal but I'll try.

          Yeah, baby-

Tried on a boatload of clothes this weekend (my parent's live 15 minutes away from the outlets on the Eastern Shore of MD) and I'm back in single digit sizes!!! all the pants I bought are 8s!!!!

So, I've completed the first week of the Self Challenge and am onto Week Two. Yay!
