  • Emergency Chocolate Fondue Help!

I'm making chocolate fondue for the party I'm attending tonight. I've found two schools of thought.....those that make fondue with cream and chocolate melted together and those that make it with some water, syrup, sugar and cocoa mix and then cream and chocolate melted in.

I don't have time to decide which way to go....party is at 8 PM!!

Anyone make this recently and available to give advice? I have a real fondue pot (electric) and a mini crock pot. I could serve it in either.

    Thanks!!

It's been a few years, but I've made it with the cream and chocolate together method and it was great.

Good luck! Hopefully someone else has made it more recently and has a more specific answer in time.

I have made it with alcohol - amaretto specifically. I have never heard of the second method you mentioned.

        I prefer the chocolate/cream route!
