  • What do you like to throw on the grill?!

Gorgeous weather here, and we're planning on grilling this weekend after we go to the farmers' market in SF on Saturday morning. Give me some ideas of good stuff to grill!

Hamburgers! We make them with lots of garlic and dried minced onion flakes and serve them on onion buns. Our breath is amazing afterwards!

I mix garlic and oregano and chili powder into the ground beef to make burgers. We cooked some tonight on our back porch, and our neighbor came from her front yard to compliment us on how amazing they smelled.

We've been marinating skirt steak in asada sauce since yesterday. It's going to be quite tasty for an evening meal - that is, if we ever get home before it's dark.

Go to Schaub's meat fish and poultry at the Stanford Mall and get a Fred's Steak. Ask the guys behind the counter for grilling instructions. Seriously, even people who don't like steak LOVE this. Get the sides at the farmers market but get a Fred's steak for the main meal.

Corn on the cob, soak it in water for an hour, peel down the husks, slather it with butter and Old Bay Seasoning, pull the husks back up and throw on the grill. AMAZING.

Wildfin, we just grilled up some carne asada tonight. I guess we Californians think alike! The marinade takes a minute to make and the flank steak is ready to grill in less than 30 minutes. Quick and easy so we have it once a week.

Asparagus - soak it in olive oil for 15 minutes then grill it.

Or mixed veggies like squash, tomatoes (sliced thick), eggplant - put them in foil pockets, drizzle them with olive oil close up the packets and grill - yummy!

I love grilled chicken, salmon, burgers, brats, and our favorite veggie is zucchini - we just slice it longways like a hotdog bun then we put adobo or other spices on it, wrap it up in aluminum foil an its delicious!
