      I've added honey and a tiny dash of vanilla extract. I bet a spoonful of raspberry jam would be delicious.

        I mixed blueberry syrup into plain yogurt and it was just as sweet and blueberryish as commercial flavored stuff.

        For the kids' breakfast I defrost frozen blueberries, top with honey, then mix that into plain yogurt "until it's purple".

        I'm usually fine with just honey or maple syrup in mine, with a side of fresh fruit.

              So, I have a batch in the oven. With my soap making, I discovered that the lightbulb keeps it fairly warm without being hot. I so want to peek at it.

                  I used plain old skim. If it is too thin in the morning, I will strain it in cheese cloth for a bit so it is more like greek yogurt.

                      It cooked roughly 12 hours. I am straining it right now, I was surprised how much liquid I was able to drain off.

                      I am looking forward to a breakfast of fresh yogurt and homemade granola.

                        Any thoughts on soy yogurt? I'm going to give it a go when we get settled. Likely have to use soy yogurt as a starter- or see if I can find a non-dairy starter. Fun times.

                          I wish you people had made clear how making yogurt is a bit like crack. I may be the only person ever to gain weight from eating yogurt...
