    Okay I will do that!
I will never be able to come close to his mothers cooking so I won't try lol

    • Can you believe it took me this long to try this!! It tastes more middle eastern/moroccan than Indian to me. But, it was very good! Thumbs up from MIL, phew!!

      • The great thing about this recipe is you can improvise big time. I make it a little differently each time. I have used it as a guide numerous times, and have never been disappointed.

        • I think it actually tastes better the next day, so I would cook it and reheat it. I usually use all dark meat, because I think that the white meat gets tough in the crockpot.

          • I usually use thighs, and have left it on low for up to 10 hours and it turns out fine.

              • I made this today and... I just realized how I messed it up and why it was so dang spicy. I used sour cream instead of half and half, but for some reason I thought it was 1/3 cup instead of 1 full cup. It smelled and tasted great when my mouth wasn't on fire. I'll give this another shot with the right measurements. Thanks, Jenn!

                • If you have some left over just add plain yogurt until you get the heat level you want. I usually use yogurt instead of the half & half.

                  • I served the last bit of yogurt on the side when I realized the heat was too much for me. I still have sour cream, so I could add that to the leftovers. Thanks for the advice.

                    • Okay, this is the first time I have seen this thread and I was in desperate need of a dinner idea for tonight to take to my husband at the hospital. With the gazillion recommendation posts I thought I would give it a try. It's in the crockpot, starting to smell delicious, and I plan on making naan later, I can't wait!
