I'm waiting until I get to Cinci to reserve a copy...for my kids. yeah right. . Except that I'll have to get two so that Cade can have his own.
I think that the downtrodden house elves are going to take over the world. This will somehow vindicate me in my own life. (Don't ask). If they take part in any evil doing, however, I reserve the right to change my user name.
I also think that Herminone and Ron get married and have 8 kids who are watched by Molly while H becomes the first woman Minister of Magic and Ron becomes a professional quidditch player.
Harry kicks Volde's butt all over the place in an epic slam dunk plot. He and Jenny go on to have a passionate love affair.
Snape turns out to be evil because it is so much easier to think of people in the narrow world view of good vs. evil. Complexities are too mentally taxing for me.
Dumbledore did not in fact die, because happy endings are a must.
Hagrid marries the giantess and tames his brother so that he can live amongst acceptable society.
Minerva McGonagal continues to serve as headmistress.
The Goblet of Fire becomes an annual event.
The Weasley twins form a world reknowned rock-band and party like rockstars.
The inhabitants of number four privet drive has some seriously wicked karma coming their way.
...but I haven't thought about this much or anything.

Kelly - I have to add to the predictions -
Harry's parents are magically brought back to life and the three are joyously reunited. I always felt so sorry for Harry while he stared at the remembering mirror watching his parents (?).
Also can't wait for the movie coming out next month!

The closer we get to the release date, the more sick I feel at my decision not to buy this one. It is seriously going to KILL me when all the spoilers come flooding out!
So, I have my fingers and toes crossed that my mom randomly decided to pre-order it from Amazon like she did with the HBP. And I've spoken to DH, and if it doesn't arrive mysteriously tomorrow, I'm very likely going to a book store within the next few days.
Someone who was on top of the HBP release, please tell me: did the brick-and-mortar stores run out at any point? Were people who didn't pre-order SOL for the first shipment? This is my fear right now.Alison

We were told by Borders and Barnes and Noble here that no more copies could be assured for Friday or Saturday. My son is going to hate me. Doesn't help that dad is away and the midnight release wouldn't go well with my eight year old. I'm thinking we will get one on Sunday. I think the stores will have them then. I'm still thinking our local book shop (which refuses to reserve) will have them tonight if I go early and just hang out there. Again....fun with a crabby eight year old in tow. *sigh* And I need two copies. One for me....one for 11 year old DS.Angie

I would suggest local bookstores too. We were on vacation when the last book came out. My brother teased me mercilessly for getting my copy sent to the vacation condo but then we spent the release day driving from bookstore to bookstore to find it.
The small local bookstores ordered copies too but can't afford to throw massive parties.
I'm SO excited for #7. My boyfriend asked me my weekend plans and laughed when I gleefully said, "Running 12 miles and reading Harry Potter and NOTHING else." Luckily it won't arrive until after my Sat AM run because otherwise training would be out the window this weekend.Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)

Mine is being delivered tomorrow courtesy of Amazon. BUT I will have one in my hot little hands at midnight tonight. A friend won a HP prize package from a radio station, including 2 tickets to the movie, a party, a concession card, a book and various giveaways. They couldn't go, so I got a sitter and dh and I are going. I've got to pick up her book ... I may sneak a peak tonight.
Sad that I so rarely get a sitter, but jumped at the chance for this. And I've already seen the movie. DH hasn't yet tho, and I know he'll like it.
