I searched for a thread on this book series. Anyone? Anyone?
My niece purchased this for me for Christmas because of my nerdy devotion to another cult young adult series, Harry Potter.
After receiving this odd gift, I researched the reviews on the Twilight series on GoodReads.com before ever cracking this book. I'm not exactly a fan of the horror and/or vampire genre.
After some initial research, I decided that I clearly would NOT become a swooning fan of some teenage vampire romance. Puhlease. I'm a woman of the world, far too cultured to get swept up in some popularly marketed bit of pablum romance with a horror twist. Besides, my nerd-ometer is already of the charts. I couldn't succumb to any more evidence of geekiness.
Needless to say, I finished the first 400 plus page novel in a single night. I could. not. put. it. down. This book is unrequited love on crack. It is sexy and innocent in the same time. I heart Edward.
I have to admit what I am. I'm off to join legions of teenage girls who *heart* the Twilight series.
