DCJenn: We're TV twins. I cannot STAND kid TV. I mean, HATE IT. You are generous, in my view, for tolerating Thomas. I can't bear that stuff. The only kid show he can watch is "Super Why!" on PBS. It is not too bad and he's learned a ton about reading. Best of all--I can buy it per episode on Amazon--so he can watch it on the computer. He can watch Animal Planet shows and History Channel (as long as they are topically age-appropriate--NO, DS!! You may NOT watch "Ice Road Truckers"--bad language). Reality shows aren't my deal, either. But everybody's got their own escapism.

No, but it makes you my fuddy duddy, elderly, gay downstairs neighbor who collects antique clown dolls. But that's OK...he's awesome! Just a big Antiques Roadshow fan...

I just don't know how you people have the time to watch all these shows!

We don't have cable, I just can't get into American TV, sorry.
I used to watch Grey's Anatomy from the ABC website so I might go see if that can still hold my interest but that is about it!

                Lost (when it returns)
                Heroes
                Project Runway
                Top Chef

These are the ONLY four shows I ever watch - but I do so religiously.

Otherwise I stick to news programs.

I abhor "Reality" TV. Seriously, I'd rather cut my leg off. I like the shows on PBS but I can never remember what is on when. I just don't get that excited about it. I would really rather not even have one but my husband's head would explode. My parents didn't have a TV until I was five so maybe that has something to do with it.

                  I guess I'm a freak.

I'm a super-freak then. My parents didn't have a TV until I was in junior high, and even then, they only used it for watching movies. I feel some sense of obligation to keep up with what's going on out there, but reality TV makes me want to go bury my head in the sand again. I like most of the hospital/medical shows, and I love watching football with DH, but I have yet to find a show that has me addicted. Maybe this fall...
