      It's a big part of why we aren't looking very seriously at California (which bums me out).

      I am such an HGTV addict. I watch all the real estate shows with morbid fascination.

        I knew I was from the cheap side of the mason-dixon line but damn. That's crazy.

        On the other hand, I love an old fixer-upper and the picture in my head of what a half million could buy and be restored into is glorious (although the reality may be nothing like what's in my head).
