Yikes! I didn't know all of that! It sucks, but it was a choice that he made. I was torn about him anyways. I liked his stuff, but he was such a jerk! Back to Angela...I hate that she won! But, I like both of her teammates very much.

Angela ONLY won because of Laura and Michael. If you look at her original sketch & notes compared to what was completed ... they SO helped to tone it down (I'll at least give her points for allowing actual TEAMwork). Macy's is selling t-shirts w/Angela's "original" sketch on them ... and it's NOT the "original" sketch.

I loved this challenge! ITA with the winner (which is rare). Still disappointed about who was out ... but he was on my list, too. Just not my most-hated.

However, I did NOT like how they had the models choose the designer and then had the models pick the icon. I know it's a competition for the models, too, but their part is ... well, it doesn't require as much inspiration.

I didn't like Angela's design ... I'm thinking maybe it wasn't very camera friendly? The judges really seemed to love it, so I figure I must have missed something. The same with Kayne's ... it didn't seem like it fit perfectly in the back - but the judges said it did. I think the sheer black fabric over the nude doesn't translate very well on camera.

I'm so disappointed in what Robert made. What happened to the turquoise that he originally bought? It fit the 'update' and the 'not as boring' SO much more than the silly beige linen!!!!

I agree -- Laura's design was gorgeous. Really beautiful.

Vincent's was awful. More like a halloween costume than anything!

they're on Bravo, and they rerun it almost constantly. you can't swing a dead cat (another lovely phrase) w/o running into a rerun of PR.

                The Recyclable Episode!

I love and hate these "make clothing from things that aren't meant to make clothing" episodes. I usually think it's wrong to base so much on working with items not designed for that use -- but then 1 or 2 people turn out something really fantastic and I think -- okay, I guess it was a valid design.

I liked Laura's dress, but think she got off pretty easy with the "innovation" concept. I'm okay w/the fact that she's safe, but don't think she should have been in the top 3 ... Uli should have been there. I actually liked Jeffery's (even though I can't stand him) more than Michael's, but since Jeffery has essentially been an ass, I can't blame them for rewarding Michael again. I REALLY like Michael.

I am so glad that Kayne was safe. His really was the worst -- I think they kept him based on his performance in other challenges AND the fact that even though it was awful, it was still well made. Vincent has GOT TO GO. I can't believe the guy has hung on this long!!!!! He keeps getting out by the skin of his teeth ... and Alison, who has really had no big infractions to this point, get's kicked off! She started out with a really good idea that didn't work out b/c of the material (back to my original issue w/this kind of challenge), and then had to scramble - still coming out with someone creative.

Although I could kill Alison and Tim Gunn for referring to that model as "plus size" ... PLEASE.

I'm going to go hide in a hole now. My obsession with this show has gone over the edge.

Yesterday was the first time when I watched a non-rerun. I like when they do these type of challenges, it pushes designers to their creative edge. Anyone can drape a piece of cloth but try it with plastic. Looking forward to next week.

Ok, now you guys have me watching this (and DH against his will but when he doesn't get home until it's 1/2 over he has no choice!) - I've been watching the re-runs on ABC but last night was the first time I watched a new show on Bravo - Paris should be very interesting...I was not surprised at all on who went home last night, though I thought they were a little tough on Kayne.

I love Kayne too. I posted something here earlier, but it's gone. I liked the Paris twist -- they've never gone anywhere before. I am SO glad Angela is gone. Ummm, hello - rosettes do NOT need to be on every stinkin' thing you make! And ESPECIALLY not on your backside ... just not flattering.

I loved Michael's. He always takes Tim's advice and it always works for him. Kayne shrugged off Tim this week and last week, and I hope he's learned his lesson. I fear his "white trash" childhood (his words, not mine) is catching up with him on the taste issue. I hope he can reign it back in.

Jeffery's was excellent, fit the challenge, well made, etc. -- but I really can't stand him so have a hard time being happy he won. And Vincent's looked like you could have bought it OTR at Banana Republic. Comfy, yes, easy to travel, yes - but this is a DESIGN competition.

                      Glad we've hooked another one!

I've been watching this show since halfway into season one. I think at this point it is pretty clear who the final four are going to be, but picking the final three is tough.

Sorry, nothing to add, just that...

it should be SO easy to catch up. they re-run it in blocks, usually on Saturdays and on Wednesdays leading up to the new episode. Not that you're willing to spend several consecutive hours in front of the tv ... but the opportunity is there.

it's about freakin time! That guy should have been booted on episode #1! I'm thrilled!

I actually liked Kayne's dress. Sure the bodice was garish - but isn't couture supposed to be over the top? I was NOT impressed by Uli's. She does that braiding thing ALL the time, as well as fitting the top of the gowns that way.

And as much as I hate Jeffery -- I like that he won this one.
