I LOVE Project Runway. I have religiously watched this show from season 1 and am hooked...completely!

Tonight's episode was kind of a downer for me. I always thought that if something was "couture" it was really flamboyant and over the top (but of course being beautiful at the same time). I felt like I didn't get it, and I guess I didn't. I liked Kayne's dress...I thought it was really neat. I also liked Jeffrey's and I'm glad it won. And I'm really glad Vincent left. But, I just didn't get why they didn't like Kayne's. I liked it...oh well.

I actually liked Kayne's dress. Sure the bodice was garish - but isn't couture supposed to be over the top? I was NOT impressed by Uli's. She does that braiding thing ALL the time, as well as fitting the top of the gowns that way.

And as much as I hate Jeffery -- I like that he won this one.
Ditto a bunch! I loved Jeffrey's dress and I would have loved to have modeled that thing - it looked so fun! Kayne's dress was fine, but I think they were a little concerned with the execution. He admitted himself it wasn't the best. I loved his last travel outfit though - he's great!
Uli... well, yawn. I'm kind of bored with her.
Guy who got booted off.. what's his name?... anyway, he was tacky, tacky, tacky. No self respecting gay man would approve.

I'm happy, but mostly just because I actually remembered to watch it!

Best blog about the show EVER: http://www.projectrungay.com

It's two queeny gay guys writing smack about stills from the show. It is freakin' hillarious!

Oh my... that's hard to believe.

I was just picturing the Fab 5 giving him a good style makeover. Oh well!
I'm going to check out that blog stat!

They did say in the end that their biggest issue with Kayne is not getting his taste but that he does great work. So I think he's safe as long as he continues to do quality stuff.

I hate when Vincent would keep saying "Well, I like it, I'm so in love with this piece, it's great." Meanwhile is horrible and shittily made. He just annoyed me so much.

Jenn, totally agree that Uli needs to come up with a new design. All her dresses look the same. The braids need to go.

              I hope Michael wins.

So sad about Kayne, but can't really argue it. This dress was better - but needed more white. Even if he'd done a large band of white around the cut-out in the back rather than what looked like a shoe lace ...

Laura's was lovely. I don't know how she's keeping up those hours. I've got to say it's nice to see her as a human, tho. Interesting how fast her belly popped!

Jeffery's looked like it belonged to a hooker. If he hadn't won the past 2 challenges, I think he would have been sent home. That's not 'rock & roll' that's hooker.

I liked Michael's. I really think the contest is between Michael & Laura. I totally agree w/your observations about Uli. She just can't seem to make something that is tailored or fitting, nor can she use any simple fabrics.

                I'll miss Kayne's little comments.

Oh - and I HATED that they let Angela and Vincent come back in. Keith won a challenge, too, and they didn't let him back - and he's the only 1 of those 3 with talent! Angela's dress looked like it was for the bride of frankenstein. Vincent's was for a slightly higher-class hooker than Jeffery's. ICK.

I hope Laura wins. I like the fact that she's an architect venturing into another field, is pretty much self-taught, and has a lot of life experiences to bring into a career change. So, she's older and the judges think her style is too "old". I think her style is sophisticated and classy and most of her designs seem timeless. She must have a nanny. How the heck could she have time for a professional life with 6 kids? I'm having my 5th child and I'm busy being just a SAHM with no extra-curricular (unless you count driving the kids around to their activities)!

I really like Michael, too. He seems like such a nice person! I think he's a great designer and I love how well thought-out his designs are.

I think Jeffery and Uli may be in trouble if they can't design outside of their comfort zone.

Oh man, in the post where I wrote my opinions on all the designers I was so off base. I used the wrong names for everything! That's what happens when you don't keep up with the show!

                    I love Michael, not Kayne.
                    Still like the mom.
                    Uli still sucks.
I thought Kayne got sent home but it was Vincent.
But it doesn't matter because I didn't like either of them.
Jeffrey is cool, but not as cool as Michael.

There, that should make more sense.

Since the end of season 2 I've thought they should just send all 4. It seems ridiculous to make the 4th designer create a 'mock' collection. They still get the exposure of Fashion Week, but are out the prizes.

I've seen all 4 collections (getty images) and have my opinion as to who won. Before I assumed that the person who's collection I liked the best was also the person voted out and therefore the decoy ... I'm so happy I'm wrong. Also, the one I'd expected to be fabulous puts out a truly AWFUL collection, IMO.

There are lots of rumors on the internet about someone cheating, too. But I don't want to be a spolier ... unless you guys want to know.

(I didn't like Uli's dress and I couldn't believe they liked hers best...)

okay SPOILER ALERT - SKIP THIS POST IF YOU WANT TO REMAIN IN THE DARK!

If you go to http://www.gettyimages.com, select 'editorial' and then search on Fashion Week Project Runway you'll get all 4 lines.

I love Laura's, actually like Jeffery's (but he is accused of cheating and outsourcing some of the sewing work when he was behind). I hate Michael's and don't like Uli's. Michael's is so disappointing to me after some of the fantastic things he put out during the show.

Hmm, yes - don't really like Uli's. I do like Laura's - I always miss this show, since its not on network television it slips my radar.

                              DON'T READ THIS EITHER

I love Laura's collection, then Michael's, then Uli's, then Jeffrey's. But frankly, I could do without either of the latter. I always love Laura's designs (although I could do without some of those crazy feathers) and they are things I would actually like to own. I loved Michael's colors and prints and golds and I thought his gown was gorgeous!

                              Uli and Jeffrey? Eh, whatever.

I think Jeffrey's collection was the best in terms of creativity and showing his potential and range. The other three felt too safe and a bit on the boring side (although one or two pieces from each were really interesting).

Jenn, I didn't see the show, can you spill a bit more about what Jeffrey is accused of?
