  • Grey's Anatomy Season III

I see that not many others are as obsessed with this show as I am, but... well... WHY NOT?

I had a picture of Patrick Dempsey up in my office before a picture of SO. He always tells me that once he graduates med school, he will be my Dr. McDreamy. We'll see... it'll be tough competition.

I want her to choose Derek. I love Derek. I love them together. I can't wait!

I'm obsessed too - DH and I LOVE this show, he likes to critique McDreamy in the OR.

Molly has class tonight so I have to record I told DH if he touched the recorder he would die!

Ok, so, good first episode. Izze... ugh, my heart just breaks for her. I wouldn't get up off of that floor either. (And why would you? It was SO CLEAN!)

I loved it when Derek said that he loved Meredith. If I were her, I would take Derek hands down to the vet. He seems so much more passionate and interesting. The vet is just kind of there. Reliable, but kinda boring. I just wish that Derek would have hugged her or kissed her or something! Slight letdown.

        I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

My favorite part of GA is how other medical shows (on other networks) make fun of it. So far I've heard it referenced in Scrubs and House. I wonder if ER will comment on it too.

DH and another resident friend (with whom we watched 1st or 2nd episode) have picked up "I'm a doctor, I save lives." They keep saying it all the time now.

Ok, who watched it last night and what did you think?

I loved it - much better than last week's episode. I like what they're doing with Callie's character and George obviously has more feelings for her then he's ready to admit.

However, I have lost ALL respect for Alex - blech!

Haha, I think Alex is smokin' hot.

I absolutely loved the scene with Derek, Addison, and Mark. I thought that was very sharp and well done. I loved when he chugged her champagne and said, "Well, I feel better now!" Perfect! (And wonderful because I do NOT like her and I am so glad they are done.) I was afraid he was going over there to sleep with her!

              I love Patrick Dempsey.

And I am so glad that Bailey went and talked to Izze!!!

Anyone think that the cheif and his wife will end up back together???? I HATED that he just let her go.

But what he did was totally in character. That's what Alex does.

I agree that the hotel room scene at the end was the best. If McDreamy had any doubts before then, that scene totally sealed the deal.

I know but after how he treated Izzy in the season finale I was hoping he would turn over a new leaf.

I loved that last scene in the hotel! I did not see that coming!

And I thought it was cute how jealous George got about the panties!

Isaiah Washington's tenure in the hospital may be over!

Producers of ABC's #1 show, Grey's Anatomy, are looking to replace the fictional doctor, reports In Touch Weekly.

The cast and crew of the show have been in an uproar after the actor violently threatened co-star Patric "Dr. McDreamy" Dempsey and made homophobic slurs against gay castmate T.R. Knight last week.

Since the incident, In Touch reports that Grey's Anatomy execs have met with three possible replacements: Fast Lane's Bill Bellamy, Soul Food star Boris Kodjoe and former E.R. star Eriq LaSalle.

"Grey's Anatomy is bigger than just one actor," an insider tells the magazine. "It's about the ensemble and Isaiah threatens that chemistry."

The National Enquirer, who broke the brawl story last week, backs up In Touch's reporting.

"The melee has set off World War III on the show and may cost Isaiah his job," an insider tells The Enquirer. "The cast is divided over the shameful event."

                      Fire him!!

Washington has not even properly apologized for grabbing Dempsey by the throat and pushing him during the on-set fight he instigated. And, he has yet to address his homophobic remarks.

Eric LaSalle would be an excellent replacement!!

I don't think he'll be around much longer. Although I don't think Eriq LaSalle would be my choice for replacement.

Last night was an excellent episode!

DH and I used to watch ER back in his med. school days (a long long long long long time ago ).

I have a soft spot for Dr. Benton because when his character was having issues with "being human and being a good surgeon" DH and I could talk about his character rather than what was sure to be our future turmoil.

It also was a lot easier to say DH was "just like Benton" with regard to his career path rather than trying to explain the medical residency system to non medical friends and family.

When Carter went from surgery to ER --- we were watching it with a huge group of med students (most of them future surgeons ) and the whole audience group yelled "SELL OUT" at him.

The irony got pretty thick though when about 4 of 9 of these students switched from surgery to a non surgical speciality during residency (remember these are med students yelling at the TV).

Anyway, I am rambling here, but Eric LaSalle will always be Dr. Benton to me....it would be weird to see him as another doc on another show.

I agree Flynn, casting a doctor from one show to a doctor in another show is a bad idea. Dr. Benton is nothing like Dr. Burke and while I'm sure LaSalle can play them both it wouldn't be the same.

They need someone who hasn't played a doctor before.

I hope they don't "replace" Burke with another actor who is supposed to be Burke. I hate it when shows do that. Like the audience won't know the difference. They can bring in someone to take his place if he has to quit being a surgeon or something, but we can't have a physically morphed guy who we call Burke.

Is this real? I would hate to see Burke go. Although, if he really is causing that kind of drama, I definitely see why.
