    Week 1!

I think it is too early to know for sure, but OU might have finally solved their defensive struggle. WOOT! Sadly, I couldn't actually watch the game because it was $40 on pay-per-view. No way.

Rocked the college football world as a redshirt freshman quarterback, won the heisman, wiped the floor with OU in the Cotton Bowl.

Then offseason came and couldn't keep his mouth shut. Twitter account with pictures of him popping Dom, flashing money at a casino, underage drinking (don't think he's been formally caught though), fights, left Manning passing camp "early" (likely kicked out), generally being a douchebag. Nothing to make him stop playing until some brokers came forward to ESPN saying he signed loads of stuff for cash. That turned into an NCAA investigation, but they couldn't prove anything, although he was proven to be in the hotel rooms they said he was and there was loads of signed shit on eBay. But they couldn't prove that the money changed hands and the brokers wouldn't talk to the NCAA. The kid has previously bitched about signing autographs, so it seems a little odd that he would sign all that stuff for funsies.

Family is filthy rich (oil money) and they all are just class acts. They threatened to sue A&M over all this. The university and many of the fans think he can do no wrong because he made them relevant in football for the first time ever and they've been craving it for years.

He got slapped with a whopping half game suspension by the NCAA and then you saw what he did last night.

Aggies claim a conspiracy by ESPN (they always have someone out to get them)

It's a shame Manziel is such a prick because he really is a crazy talented kid. From a strictly performance standpoint, the off-field crap wouldn't be a dealbreaker except that he's already shown in the first game of the year that he can't control his emotions and other teams' defenses are going to have a field day trying to get in his head for the rest of the season. Plus the blatant disrespect towards his head coach, walking right past him when he was trying to talk to him after the unsportsmanlike call, seriously shows the complete lack of control anyone has over the situation. He's convinced he's untouchable and eventually that's going to bite him hard in the ass. From a selfish standpoint, I hope it happens before the Bama game in 2 weeks lol. Actually that's not true -- I hope he plays and our defense mind f**ks him to the point he does something so stupid they'll have no choice but to suspend him. Kid needs to be knocked down about 12 pegs.

During the Bama game would be excellent. He needs to play and screw over his team during a big game for his school and fans to finally stop taking his crap. If he's out before Bama and A&M loses, you'll never hear the end of it from the Aggies. Ever.

KU won and other then a lot of penalties actually looked pretty good. We'll see what the season brings

I only saw the last quarter and some, and it didn't look pretty. Stoops looked pissed. I feel awful for the WV player carried off the field on a stretcher. Hope he is okay.

I would like to note that my Sooner Indoctrination has worked (mostly via the Baby Sooner video). N now recognizes the OU logo and spent a good chunk of the game screaming "BOOMER SOONER" and "GO OU" unprompted whenever she could recognize the players or logo.

It almost made me tear up a little

^yeah that! Except A&M almost came back. I preferred the 3rd quarter score.

                      Also, SEC defense? Hmmmmm

We had a divided house today - my mom was rooting against Alabama, hubby and I were rooting against Texas A&M. Neither of us wanted either team to win!

It is a tough call...Nick Satan or the Texas A&M "Cant shut up" Aggies.

                            Roll Tide!!!!

So glad we got to sack Johnny a couple of times. That was satisfying.

Well our game was bullshit. I thought our coaching would be better without coach lard bucket this year. Oh well. I just wish the fans wouldn't blame it on the refs. We lost because of poor coaching decisions and a terrible QB. Sure the calls were mostly in one-sided all day. But seriously. I'm not sure Joel Stave knows how to read...why give him a task that is too complicated for his small brain? Just kick the damn field goal. Better to lose by missing a field goal than to lose in the most idiotic way possible. Poor play calls + shitty QB + a bad call at the end = whatever the heck just happened.

Michigan is doing well. Have pity on me, I had to live three years in Columbus Ohio when Rodriguez was in charge
