A medical relationship is challenging, we all know that. And often I find that I concentrate on the negatives. So I thought I'd start a discussion about the positives...especially because most of the time it's harder for me to see! When I find I think about positives about my relationship with my bf, they have to do with him and me, and not him being in med school, but I'm going to give it a try!
-I love seeing my bf studying something he's passionate about. It inspires me to follow my passions also.
-I'm proud to say that my bf is a med student. It's a profession I respect and admire.
-My parents are thrilled that my bf is a med student. This may sound superficial (and is in many ways), but my dad's a doctor too.
-Independence is something I've always had trouble with, but am striving towards. Being w/ my bf, I've had to embrace and enjoy my independence and this is making me a stronger person.
-If I do end up marrying my bf, we will (someday) make a comfortable income together.
That's a start! I hope you will all add on!
