    I'll start:

    1. Keep working out on a continual basis and get the junk food out of the diet (this is really a 6 month goal for my wedding ) I'm finishing up P90x, doing the Insanity program by Beachbody, and then doing another round of P90x which should bring me right up to my wedding day. I'm also doing 2 hours a week on the Pilates machine for a class--I love what I can get credit for in college!

I think my goal for the second half of the year will be to work up to a 10k. I made a 5k my resolution 2 years ago, and for the first time ever, kept it. It really made me proud.

    2. Get on a budget and stick to it.

    3. Learn to relax and not overburden myself when I don't really have to. For the first time ever, I'm not working more than 8 hours a week as a full-time student and I'm going to continue to try and stay more calm and let stuff roll off my back instead of ending up with my usual biannual nervous breakdown.

Here are mine, split into pre and post-baby.

          Before April:

          (1) Organize our home filing system
          (2) Establish a better budget system

          After April:

          (3) Remember what sleep is.
          (4) Establish a good routine with my daughter (and I know many of you BTDT parents are giggling at me right now, but a girl can hope!!)

            1. Gain weight
            2. Add to the expenses of the household
            3. Sleep less

                1) Try to survive this long distance relationship without going crazy
                2) Get back into the gym/swimming
                3) Finish my course I am working on
                4) Figure out what I want to do with this life of mine

                    Mine are fairly simple (sounding)

                    1. Get back in shape. This will be so much easier once Sophie is done nursing. I am getting a copy of the P90x DVD's from my sister tomorrow! Will use that in conjunction with Wii Fit Plus (wimpy I know), and the eliptical that my parents have.

                    2. Learn to deal with E so that a single conversation doesn't derail my day. He cannot control my life any longer.

                    3. Help Caleb get his anxieties under control.

To get cards mailed for everyone's birthday and anniversaries. I've been so horrible about this. I want to make everyone feel remembered this year.

To finish level 2 of the Master Knitter program. It's a correspondence course, you have to knit a bunch of samples to show techniques, knit an argyle sock, a fair isle hat, and design and knit a vest. I've joined a support group on ravelry for it.

To get back into making art - I signed up for a drawing class - haven't taken one for 13 years.

                        To treat myself well.

I need to meet more people! I have resolved to join a band (concert style, not rock style ), do some volunteer work, and hopefully find a softball team.

I don't know if something you're contemplating can really be a resolution, but I'm contemplating a second stab at grad school.

And the perpetual resolution of going to the gym more often.

                            2. Not complain about my in-laws / sister-in-laws / brother in-law
                            3. Live in the same zip code as my husband
Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)

I sort of gave up on making resolutions because I never seem to remember or keep them. Instead, as things come up over the year, I try to integrate those changes. Sometimes it works. I think my success rate is higher with that method. That was my plan and then I came up with these resolutions.

                              1. Watch the Arrested Development series on Netflix. It never hurts to laugh more, right?
                              2. Exercise more frequently for a couple of reasons. First, I always (!!!) feel so much better after I do yet I don't remember this when I am feeling blah. Second, after being sick in November, I lost 5 pounds and my pants fit better. I've gained part of it back -- curses, holiday food -- and want looser pants again. Third, because...
                              3. Bake more. Again, something I enjoy but that gets pushed off my schedule. A corollary to this resolution is to find more victims upon whom I can push these items so I don't eat them.
