    I'm adding another one:

    Meet Oceanchild sometime in 2010!!

Haha, right, meet the iMSNer who lives less than a mile from me. Good plan.

I don't normally make resolutions. I mean, not really. I always say I want to lose weight and be healthier, blah, blah, blah.

Though, I'd still like to lose weight and be healthier, not to mention be a hot skinny bitch, it's not a resolution this year.

        This year I resolve to:

        1. Make myself a priority, and demand that my husband makes his family a REAL priority for the first time in years.

        2. Be kinder to myself.

        3. Have at least one kick-ass vacation.

        4. Meet more iMSN peeps.

        5. Have more sex.

        6. Laugh more.

        7. Eat some great food.

        8. Try at least one new thing.

        9. Make a new friend (local).

        10. Have at least one of my good friends fly out here to stay with me and have a great time.

This is on my list too! (My mom's tip is to mail all cards for the month on the 1st of the month - it still hasn't worked for me, but maybe it'll help you.)

The rest of my list is:
            - learn to have more patience with Daegan
            - continue the good eating, but try to do it cheaper

That is so cool! I have thought about doing it myself but I HATE intarsia and would have to really work at it. How much is the course?

                Let's see...

There's always the lose weight resolution so that's a given.

Get through this move and selling the house without having a nervous breakdown.

                Meditate an hour each day.

                Stop drinking.

Make at least one new friend in Florida.

                Start taking Italian lessons.

                Be nicer to my kids.

I don't make New Year's resolutions. Don't know why. I guess I take the resolutions I make (which aren't many) really seriously. I make them whenever I am ready to commit to them, as versus on an arbitrary day on the calendar that is supposed to be the "day it all changes." Too much pressure.

I can't think about major changes right now, anyway. I have too much on my plate. Between DH being gone for six months, to then come back and begin the dreaded chief year, and to then move away again for a year for fellowship...tacked on with a full-time job, two (and soon to be three) kids, etc...I feel like I will be lucky to keep it together. I don't have time to make myself a better person. I just want to survive. I don't need to thrive. hahahaha!

I think you only have to do a hat in intarsia, so not a big project.

It's been so long since I paid for it - I think it was $75? It may have gone up since then.

I'm lynnetteknits on rav. I haven't been very active, but would like to do more on there.

                        Hmmmm-

The first is to remember that I actually support my husband in his decision to go to DC for the epilepsy fellowship. (It's actually called something else like Epilepsy and Neuro-something something but as you can see I've sort of blanked on it.) I just have to remind myself that it's not like the Iraq thing. I mean DC can be dangerous but they're not typically mortered every day.

                        2) A bunch of the neighbor ladies have decided to do a triathlon so I'll be adding that to the training.

                        3) I'm going to sign up for German classes at the local German beer hall. I hope it will help me with the German genealogy stuff I'm doing. and the beer is $2/pint.

I don't usually do resolutions because I aim to high and I never get there. So my one resolution/promise for this year is that by December 31st I want to be in the best shape of my life (to that point) or at least as good of shape as when I was an active athlete in high school. I wonder if its possible without changing my eating habits though, I LOVE to eat. Not that I over eat but I like to eat good food and I'm not willing to give up carbs, etc. so we'll see.

                          Good luck everyone!

Just checking in on this. I did the P90x abs yesterday and the cardio tonight. I don't think I will be able to move in the morning. He did moves that I didn't know the human body could do. Seriously, go from a wide squat to a jump? I just laughed.

I will! The last time I took lessons, I found that the 2 hrs. of class was like meditation - I can't wait!

You enjoy too, Luanne! We'll have to share our work here! HAHA - no way, not for a while for me!

Yay--another P90xer. The abs are killer--I don't do more than 60% of the moves. Are you talking about Cardio X as far as the squat jump thing goes? I don't remember it--is it one of the plyo moves?

Sweet! Is it sprint or olympic distance? (I wont do anything longer than a sprint because I refuse to get in a lake) I'm signed up for one on March 14th
