I think it's interesting that most of the complaints have to do with the iPhone

Cars and iPhones seem to be the most popular...am I the only one who thinks a car or a phone are pretty extravagant gifts?

Not at all. Thats why its so sick. This time of year is not supposed to be about getting gifts, and yet, for these people, that is what it has turned into.

I doubt most of them are tongue in cheek, we are living in a very entitled society and I have no doubt that most of those people were VERY serious.

With that said I don't think something like an iphone is an out of the question gift. Some people go over board with gifts at the holidays, that doesn't mean they've lost the true meaning of the holiday.

Having taught in the high school setting, I promise that most of them were very serious

I am totally disgusted! These kids need to get all their gifts snatched right back. I'll be damned if my boys ever feel that entitled. It's called a gift for a reason. It's not about the money but the fact that they feel it's acceptable to call out their parents via tweet or facebook and use that kind of language to describe their "lack of generosity"

That's what I was thinking. The teens were just being difficult/spoiled teenagers, but the adults.... seriously?!
