        • You guys are so much quicker than I am with this. I just couldn't figure out why the hell she was texting me about it. Ugh.

Granted, I was also babysitting a fussy, sick baby for a friend while fielding these texts. I was a bit distracted. And I also now remember how much work a sick, fussy baby is.

Yup, hairstylist def saw DH (she told me). The only way she could have gotten her hands on my cell phone number is to have ransacked the salon's appointment book or to have asked the gal we both know for it.

I feel awful for her loss, but I'm completely confused as to why she shared the information with me. If we were close friends, I would totally understand. We're not, though. We're *barely* acquaintances. Which leads me to believe that she's trying to get more information or access to DH through me. That doesn't sit well. I'm kinda pissed. And I want to check on her to see how she's doing with the loss, but don't want to encourage this kind of contact, at all.

Fuck. She was a great stylist, too. Now I get to try to find a different one in this one-horse town.

Moving to the east coast doesn't seem so bad right about now...

I know this sounds crazy and it drives me fucking crazy but my mom truly believes that because she see her dentist or drs or whomever. That it means they are BFF. And by association any family members are BFF. I shit u not, she ran into the pcp wife at Walmart and started talking to her and asking if they wanted to come for dinner. I screamed at her in the car and asked what the hell she was doing. Her reply " he is my dr, we talk all the time". Yep u talk at office visits that I pay for. Not for friendship. Maybe she is like them. Clueless. She even asked the wife if her husband had told her about my brothers depression. Wtf??

She lives in a smaller town and "everyone knows everyone"

DH's mom is like this, too. (And also in a very small town.)

                      GAH!

This is not something I really considered about being a doctor in a small town, but probably should before we start applying for jobs!

                      • I had one gal tell me all about her husband's health problems once she recognized our last name. Including his erectile dysfunction. Yeah, I don't want to hear this shit.

                          • Hahaha. ^^^

My hubby is currently rotating with a doc in the small southern town where he grew up. We're both learning waaay too much about all his neighbors. I'm so glad we'll be heading to a bigger city in a couple months! Then again, I'm just a born and raised city girl.

I'm kind of struggling with this shit. I'm SOOOO antisocial and have been trying to put myself outside my comfort zone to be more social with people, but my hermit tendencies are slamming the door on that shit with the quickness. This episode makes at least four times since we've been here that someone has pulled this crap and I'm pretty done with it.

                              I just don't get it.

                              • Today DH is doing a Warrior Dash with his brother. I'm really hoping he doesn't get injured... I am happy he's been enjoying running, but these things bring out my inner worry wart!
