2 pairs of Sperry boat shoes - $20 & $30, 2 Steve Madden casual loafer-type shoes $78 total, etc. I love shoes -- even only one pair is mine.

                    • Today, I finally can eat without feeling ill as long as it is only a little bit of food. This still feels like a victory.

Today, I have lost 8 pounds since last Saturday. Which leaves me just slightly more than 5 to go to reach my goal weight!

Today, I fixed the upstairs toilet without anyone else's help, advice or extra trips to the store. Apparently, growing up in a house that was eerily reminiscent of "The Money Pit" has allowed me to channel Bob Villa.

Today, I am ready to ship the kids to their dad's. Thank GAWD for the electronic baby-sitter and Netflix. Only 2 more days until he has them 4 consecutive nights. And I am making the most of those nights.

                        • Today I cried tears of joy during Mass as it hit me how God brought us through the last 14 years. We came through it stronger and closer despite the trials that came close to breaking us. I guess you could say I had a moment.

                            • Starting today, you will no longer hear "paper or plastic?" when you check out at the grocery store in Seattle. Plastic shopping bags are outlawed, and shoppers pay 5 cents for every paper bag they want/need at the check stand.

Yay for getting on board with what most European countries already do to minimize waste!
