Today, K1 climbed out of his crib no less than 47 times. Notwithstanding that the grandparents will all be in town, we're just getting the hang of potty training, and he'll be starting preschool in a couple weeks, the time has come to move him into a toddler bed.

Today, the K Bros shoved an overturned laundry basket in front of the gate at the top of our stairs and tried to climb over.

Today, we spent most of the day upgrading our childproofing measures.

And, I baked and decorated two dozen chocolate-banana monkey cupcakes.

Today, DH and I realized that in the course of out-stubborning each other with regard to the thermostat temperature ("*I* won't complain it's too cold!") we were failing to notice that the furnace is actually not working. It's been 58 degrees in our bedroom for the past three days, probably even colder in the kids' rooms. D'oh!

This cracks me up to no end.

I usually have the house set at 65. Today I turned it up to 68 in the hopes that the drywall mud will dry enough today to be sanded tonight so I can paint this weekend! I might get Bubba's room done by Christmas at this rate!
