  • Having lunch at a friend's house with a group of friends - she's makes amazing food but really it's just an excuse for us ladies to sit around gabbing and drinking way too much wine. Wait... is there even such a thing as too much wine? No, no there is not.

My house looks like a tornado went through it. I MUST clean and soon. Thinking it's the first order of business tomorrow morning.

It's 2013 - how in the world have we not come up with one of those machines where you just say what you want to eat or drink and then it simply materializes for you. Didn't the Jetsons have one of those?!

Related: I really want a hot cup of coffee but I have zero desire to go to the kitchen to make a fresh pot. First world problems.

Today I told my 10 year old that I am going to teach him how to brew coffee for me. It's about damn time he start pulling his weight around here.

      • I'm taking DD5 to get her hair cut, she's only had trims and it's pretty long but it's very thin and tangles easily so brushing is a constant battle. She's decided in a chin length bob but we'll see if she chickens out when we get there.

Our DD2 has similarly thin, tangle-prone hair. She rocks a pixie cut or a chin-length bob (when she grows it out). Best decision ever. Always looks great and is super easy to care for.

Both our girls (ages 17 and 13) have been doing laundry and making coffee for years.

I wasn't prepared for how grown up it would make her look! Where did my baby go?

                • One of DH's partners called today in the last 2 minutes of the Seahawks/Texans game about a patient. DH is on vacation. I may be forced to cut a bitch if he does this again.

Ugh, this happens to DH all the freaking time. Whether he is on a staycation or we have traveled somewhere, someone from the hospital always knows how to track him down. Pisses me right off.

Sadly, no children yet to assist me with the coffee duties. Though... we're working on it! So, fingers crossed, in another decade or so - I should be good to go!
