This is my hundredth post!!

Today is my last day of teaching for the semester. Moving to the Midwest has actually opened up opportunities I wouldn't have had in the south. It's been a big year. DH insisted we go have a fancy dinner date tonight. He even made the reservations! Thankful that all of the pain and hard work of transition has led to being at a great place both professionally and in our fledgeling marriage. Now excuse me while I go scrape ice off of my car.
(I think this means now you're stuck with me. Haha!)

Today E and I left the house to go somewhere other than the pediatrician or my parents' house! My mom came over and we were talking about how I wanted rocking chairs for our front porch, so we decided to take E and go look while hubby was sleeping. We didn't find any, but at least we survived our first outing. We also went out to dinner tonight. She was fussy in the car each time out, but pretty good otherwise. Her pleasant times are starting to outnumber the screaming fits, and she's sleeping at least one 4-5 hour stretch between feedings at night thankfully!!Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Well today she's back to grumpy. I guess we'll just enjoy the good days when we can get them. At least tonight is hubby's last night of work before a brief holiday break. After that he just had one more night of SICU before he switches services.
