Today, I physically cut the old lights off of our Xmas topiary, and strung new LEDs on it.
For the divided households on here (white vs color lights), Sylvania makes a non-blinking, color-changing LED Christmas light strand.

Our house can finally be peaceful: everyone gets what they want.

I tried taking off the lights on our pre lit topiary last night and apparently cutting them IS the only way to get them off. I gave up and put the dang thing back in storage.

This year all my cousins and siblings and our spouses are in town and I have spent the past two and a half days enjoying the huge blessing of family. It's been a long time since I've seen them and it's so good to all be together!
