We sold ours (closed two days ago) in the middle of some pretty shitastic weather. I was flabbergasted that we had so much interest this early. I feel badly for the new owners who are trying to move into the house in single-digit temps with feet of snow on the ground. Man, I'm REALLY glad the neighbor kid we hired cleared the snow for them so well.
Today, K1 asked me for a refresher on the plot points of Frozen so he could keep up with his girlfriend's interests. I had no idea where the discussion was going when he was repeatedly asking me to clarify the names of the ice princess with the super powers and the girl before he concluded with "and Sidney likes Elsa best. "

ST, I say this with love. Are you NUTS??? I thought you had a newborn, toddler and a husband with stomach flu. So, ideal conditions for potty training, I guess....
ETA: Re-reading, I think this comes off as harsh and not funny. I really just think you are such a superwoman. If anyone can do it, you can. Just know that to me, it sounds like you just announced you were going to climb Everest! Hope it goes well.

Yeah, I'd hold off on that too. Both of my boys have had potty training setbacks since Lambie was born. I effectively have 3 in diapers now.

I have a feeling you are going to do it anyway ST but from a btdt perspective you're at a really rough time for everyone for potty training. I promise you there is no rush. Unless N is actively throwing off her diapers and claiming big girl status and has no interest in being like baby J it may be rough (watch out for withholding). There is a ton of emotion on all sides tied to potty training. Also, you need hubby plus all care givers on board 100% (this is always the case but especially with the timing).
Fingers crossed for record potty training for you and N!!!!

Married 20 years to MD/PhD in year 3 of MFM fellowship. SAHM to five wonderful children (#6 due in August), a sweet GSD named Bella, a black lab named Toby, and 1 guinea pig.
DH is home today and this weekend and we are both so tired of endless diapers it may be a little but nuts but we have no plans to be anywhere the next three days and N has already had 2 successful #2s earlier this week, so why not? That and we could be frantically getting a house ready to sell and move after match day. I don't want to be potty training then. And there is no way DH can do it on his own when he is watching them both when I go back to work (love him, but that is a recipe for disaster)
I plan to let him do most of the heavy lifting We are both feeling better today luckily.
Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.
Well, then Godspeed! I'm not one to talk. We knocked out the back wall of our house and started a kitchen remodel when my first was 3 days old. I suspect the post-birth hormone change does strange things to the mind.
I'm glad you are all feeling better!!
