    Sounds like a reasonable plan

    • I potty trained DS when I was home on maternity leave with DD. It worked out but he was a little older. I just thought it would be easier to do when he wasn't in daycare.

          • I had dinner with Thirteen and family and they are super nice! We had fun and E was on her best behavior. If everybody is as awesome in real life as she and ST, I need to meet more of you.

She's so sweet - what *really* happened is we were late, I ate my weight in charbroiled oysters, and talked too much.
But, I had a wonderful time - and, baby E is a doll!

I know!! It felt downright balmy out there and like we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Yup -- we are done! No more double house payments and utilities! I miss our old neighbors like crazy, though. Hopefully, the new owners enjoy the neighbors as much as we did.

                    • Baby E is a doll.

N seemed to lose all the previous enthusiasm for potty training, so we will try again tomorrow and take it a little slower.

                      • C went in fits and starts on potty training. Literally the day I was ready to throw in the towel, it clicked and she's only had 2 accidents over the last month.

We had a potty though from 18 mo on so she was very accustomed to it. We just put her in underwear and encouraged her to keep them dry. Then we set a timer every 30 minutes and reminded her for a few days. One day she just got it.

Now that I have D, I definitely am happy I'm not changing two sets of poopy diapers!

                        • We had a really good start to potty training. I think she figured out it was a chore and decided that was enough of that. Then one day at school her friend yelled that she had to potty (at pick up time) DD was amazed by it. She looked at me and said Potty!?!?! I told her yes, She's a big girl and pees in the potty. Well, that's all it took and she was convinced it was her turn. Its amazing watching those light bulb moments in your kids, regardless of the milestone.

PS it wasn't easy sailing from there, but that was the moment she was truly "ready."

                          • I still thinks she's ready but had an attitude or some emotional stuff going on today that could be a fluke or something to work through. I'm going to get some books from the library. Worked wonders for getting ready for the baby. She really gets books!

                            • K2 has been so awful about toileting. He's been asserting his independence and looking for things to control. If I want him to use the potty, there is no way that is going to happen. He has a fit every time I suggest he go at home. The only time he's interested is when we are in public. Then he is desperate to use the public toilet. He'll make a big scene and if I take him, then he'll just go in there to touch everything but still refuse to potty. The ILKS are here and they don't understand why I won't interrupt meals out and such to take him to the toilet.

As the reigning unofficial iMSN slut, I can assure you that everybody is that awesome in real life. Every single iMSN spouse that I have met without exception is BETTER in real life than I imagined them to be from inside my computer.

And, I have no doubt that when I meet you next week, I will feel the same.
