  • Happiness Planner

I just learned about the Happiness Planner and bought a bunch of them...one for myself, my mother, my best friend, and even DH even though he will probably never use it! My mom just started a book club on The Magic, a gratitude focused book, and I went to the first meeting and it was totally not my style but the gratitude mindset definitely is! I did my own research for a gratitude journal and this is what I found! I bought the 100 day planner so that I don't need to commit to every day but it was backordered so I don't think I will get it for a while but I am excited to try it out. They even have a Daily Happiness email series that I signed up for and I love getting the motivational quotes and other positive messages in my email every day. Have you ever done a gratitude journal? What do you do to keep yourself uplifted and inspired?

I've never heard of this before, but it sounds really neat!

I'm on a Facebook group for Bullet Journaling, and a lot of people are coming over from something called a Passion Planner, which sounds similar.

I have also been dabbling in Gretchen Rubin's writings…here are her Eight Splendid Truths of Happiness: http://gretchenrubin.com/happiness_p...-of-happiness/

I've never seen this but I've had gratitude journals in the past where I just force myself to write down something good that happened each day. Kind of like counting my blessings. For my family, we give tzedakah (a Jewish custom, shorthand for charity but it's more obligatory than charity) at the start of every shabbat dinner. For each coin that each of us add to the box, we thank Gd for something for which we feel grateful. It's really interesting to hear what the kids say. Among things like new toys and superheroes and their family, the kids sometimes say really pointed things like they are grateful for the swim lessons that terrify them or the lady who cuts their hair.

Ooooo I like this! The pod cast I've been listening to recommended doing this too! It said something like even 10-30 days of Journaling like this can have an impact.
