1. Last night I ran on the most gorgeous path by our house. Seriously, if you have a mental image of what Minnesota/Canada would look like, this is it: Large, fragrant pine trees lining a glittering lake. Since I run at dusk, I always see lots of deer on this path.
2. My son can't wait to start school to start. His enthusiasm makes me so happy because we pay for his school with blood, sweat, and tears. One of my greatest wishes for him is that he loves school and education.
He is finally able to be quiet enough for the "older" one (by 2 weeks) to let him pet her. She liked him fine as an immobile infant, but once he noticed her it got scary for her.
Ozzy is still terrified of him. That's probably my fault for scaring the fur off her when she was poking at him with a paw when he was a newborn.
1. My husband has the most thoughtful, caring and fun family in the world.
2.We got the lawyer stuff notarized and mailed off today for our pending home sale.
3. I can find glue sticks and 24ct crayola crayons at other places even if Target is perpetually out of them.
I need to join in this one b/c I've been so negative lately:
1. The boys are really starting to warm up to the dog and play (appropirately) with him.
2. I beat dh and our neighbor's high score on "jawbreakers" (a game that came on dh's new PDA) the first night I played it.
3. Bruce (the puppy) had an accident-free day yesterday!
4. DS#2 says he's excited about "potty-lessons" (woo-hoo, potty training a kid and house-breaking a puppy at the same time).
5. I've sold 3 things on craigslist in a week!
6. We get paid twice in the next 7 days!
Here's mine, it's a zippity do da day so far.
1. Last night my girls cleaned their room (mostly) without me having to throw away any toys or punish them in any way.
2. Maya is really excited about starting kindergarten--last night she told me she is so excited that sometimes when she thinks about it she almost starts to cry. Everytime I think about that it makes me smile.
3. I have a mother's helper over here this morning.
4. Yesterday I cleaned off my desk.
5. I rearranged the living room furniture--I can't afford a new couch so this was the next best thing.
1. DH has his last shift today for 8 weeks!!! :ra:
2. It's "Friday night party night" (we eat crappy fast food and watch movies with the kids and let them stay up late) I have been netflixing the old classics from my day for the kids. Last week was Pee Wee's Big Adventure
3. I feel I am on the up and up and want to start walking 2 miles again every night. :walk:
1. So far the inlaws have been bearable.
2. I ran 18 miles this last weekend.
3. I've actually kind of got my anxieties at bay lately and am kind of like, "Que Sera, sera!". ( very un-Kelly of me)
1. We had to make a trip to the Labor & Delivery unit last night (it's a long story with waaaay TMI, so I'll spare you the details ), I was absolutely terrified but it turned out to be a simple infection that can be cleared up with medication. I'm very, very grateful that things turned out ok.
2. The holiday weekend is coming up!
3. And, in light of recent events... I'm grateful that I know where all of my family and friends are and that they're safe, that I have a warm bed to sleep in with a roof over my head, and that I have enough food to eat and water to drink.

1. The upper-respiratory gunk that has plagued our house all week is finally....finally behind us. No more fevers...yeah!
2. We were told Friday that we would be able to close on the new house in 2 weeks. (crossing fingers that it all happens as planned!)
3. The new semester at the U started and I don't miss it even a little bit. It's amazing how something can be so important and then how we can adjust to and even embrace the new changes in our lives.
1. O.K. A few months into our return to clinicals, I have to give my verdict...OUR LIVES ARE BETTER with the 80 hour work week. Much, much better.
2. Baby girl walked this weekend and DS lost his first tooth.
3. I'm running a marathon this coming weekend
