I am so excited to have found this site! Nice to know I am not the only one going through what I go/went though.
A little late on my part as my DH has already completed his urology residency. He is just finishing an unsponsored (military talk) year-long fellowship after 2 years of being staff/chief at Wright Patterson AFB (Dayton, OH). We just got the official orders indicating that we are headed back to Lackland AFB (where he did his residency) until his his
commitment is complete (2012!)
I grew up in Los Angeles but have lived in many cities after graduating from college - Atlanta, Boston, Nashville, San Antonio, Dyton, OH and currently, Iowa City, Iowa. I am have been a SAHM for the past 3 yrs due to the moving around. Though, I look forward to going back to work FT once we get settled. I usually work in hospital administration/
operations. MY DH and I met while he was in med school and I was in grad school. After 6 long years of dating (and the dreadful 2nd year surgery year) we married in 2000. We have 3 children 1 boy, 2 girls: Bobby (5yo), Charlie (4yo) and Sam (1yo this month).
OK, long enough intro for now..
I am exctied to be part of this board and hope to be a resource for some, expecially the military spouses. I also look forward to your advise stories.
Happy April!
