That's a lot of running around for you, and with a baby too! Taking just one day, and sometimes one minute at a time, will get you through.

We had to make quite a few financial cuts to allow me to stay home, but it hasn't been bad. Because I am still a student, we are living partly on my student loans. It is amazing what you can get by on when you get creative!

Dallas runs an intense program, basically no matter the specialty. I am almost glad we didn't end up there because of that, but we ended in Detroit of all places, so I'm not sure if that is better or not! My folks live just south of Dallas, so I would have had a support system there, and here, I have no one.

I definitely lean on my mom (we purposely bought a house 3 miles from her just a few months before his first year of med school). My sister built a mile away so she and her hubby would be there for me if I needed them (and I have). My girls go to school just a few miles away from my work so I can be active at their school.

As I type this hubby is working on some materials he has to present tomorrow. Guess who is glad he's married to an admin assistant -- I don't know how his paper would look if he didn't have me to help him with formatting (I work for a PR firm so I do a lot of proofing and formatting).
