Hi everyone,
Its been a long time since I've posted. After DH matched (in 2005) it has been a whirlwind. We moved to Oakland from Chicago for his intern year then hauled the cats to Maryland to start his Anesthesia residency at Hopkins.
Meanwhile I had to go through looking for new teaching jobs every summer. Being in 4 schools in a 5 year period just looks bad on a resume... anyway, because I had to scramble every summer for a teaching position I always ended up in a really stressful school environment and becoming really depressed.
Well this summer I finally had the perfect excuse not to go back to work. We had a beautiful baby boy in August and I decided to be a SAHM. And with DH's work schedule and my stressful job situation it was the best option and I couldn't be happier.
Now that I'm at home I lurked back to this site, I realized how I've missed the wonderful support this group has been. This is even more evident now that I have a baby. I never knew how many questions I would have as a new mother and going to that parenting board so many have been answered! This site has always made me feel that I am not alone and I'm glad to be back.
