Ah, I hadn't noticed your location! We just moved to Colorado. And I went to college in LA, so I have some California experience too.

Hi and welcome. We have LOTS of military spouses and girlfriends here these days. Whatever military questions (or neurology questions for that matter!) I can probably answer. My husband enlisted when he was 18 and here we are lo these many years later. (18 years in! but I've only been around for 10 of them) He went to USUHS but lots of others here did the HPSP thing. Most were AF HPSP, too. There are some differences in the way that the training is done. Quite a bit of AF training is done at civilian hospitals but it's specialty specific. and really, one thing all of the medical spouses can tell you- civilian or military- is that you only ever the the illusion of control. (but it helps!)
Welcome aboard.
Jenn
