Yes @ I believe who keeps up with exact dates of all this med school stuff? After graduation there was a "break" but there was all kinds of things/meetings etc... So I have no clue as to when she actually started residency

          And she's into neurology

we do. because even if we, the spouse of the great dawkter, have a life/job/identity...it's a big deal when residency starts.

Nothing mattered about residency except the following
She got into the prgram she wanted & another income was added to our household.

I bet I could ask my wife when I started my job and she wouldn't know a date either

Wow, so I guess residency has not had much of an impact of your lives together? Is her residency well under the 80 hour work rules? Most of us experienced a HUGE lifestyle change simply by going from seeing our spouses for dinner to going for days not seeing them at all (or awake).

4yrs of med school prepared me for residency... So nothing has changed in my opinion. She's always gone now just like she was during medschool

I wish/hope I can say the same but somehow I have the feeling that residency is gonna be SOOOOO much worse than med school...

I realize that you are using your iphone so it is difficult to write long posts but instead of posting another question you might offer something about your experience. Why has it all been so easy/difficult/hellish for you? How you and your family have handled the training journey etc ?

                            See the difference?

Actually most first year residents start with orientation in mid-June and how can residency not be different then medical school and yes mostly worst?
