Hi! What field are you pursuing your graduate degree in? Welcome to the site. Its a fantastic place for conversation, support, answers, empathy, commiserating, and everything a person could want!-L.Jane

Welcome!
Hope this site is helpful to you!
Seriously, what field is your spouse and what type of grad studies are you doing? BTW it really helps to offer a little bit more about who you are...don't worry no real names nor names of locations need to be divulged.
EXAMPLE: "Sunnysideup: grad student in International studies, married for 6 yrs to DH who is in his 5th year of PP(private practice) in GI, currently New Englanders."
See how this shows a willingness to share(especially when you want us to share) but still protects your privacy??!!Last edited by Momo; 07-11-2010, 03:03 PM.

Hi all. I'm so glad that there is a place that can provide a bit of understanding in the midst of all this residency craziness! I'm dating an OB intern in Chicago. While we were together through med school and I understood what residency would bring, I must admit that it's a bit harder than I thought. I work full-time and will be starting my third year of law school (part-time) in the fall. Please tell me this gets easier!

Hi Chris! Welcome! Um, as for the getting "better", well, there are good times and bad times, and I'm sure even those past residency will agree. The medical spouse/partner life is never easy, but it is great seeing the person you love being so fulfilled by a career they love.Laurie
